Each session players become eligible for the Most Valuable Player award through weekly league play.   

 

 

 

8-Ball Example: In an individual 8-Ball match, a player has 3 points available to win. If he/she played 10 matches, they had 30 points available to win. If they won a total of 13 points, then their PA is 43%.

10 matches = 30 points available

13 points = 13 / 30 = 0.43 = 43%

 

9-Ball Example: In an individual 9-Ball match, a player has 20 points available to win. If he/she played 10 matches, they had 200 points available to win. If they won a total of 162 points, then their PA is 81%.

10 matches = 200 points available

162 points = 162 / 200 = 0.81 = 81%

 

After you have played a minimum of 4 matches, your MVP calculation will appear on your personal stats. PPM is the average number of points per match you have earned.   YOU MUST PLAY IN AT LEAST HALF THE WEEKS OF THE SESSION TO WIN THE AWARD.  Example:  session is 16 weeks long, you must play at least 8 times that session in order to be eligible.  If a session has an odd number of weeks, you must play the extra week to be eligible.  Example:  session is 15 weeks long, you must play 8 times to be eligible.  *Updated: beginning Spring 2019*:  If your division has an odd number of weeks and a BYE in the schedule, the number of required plays will be rounded down.  Example: session is 15 weeks long and your team has at least one BYE, you will be eligible to win MVP with 7 plays.    Even though stats will appear after 4 plays, only players that participate in at least the minimum number of weeks are eligible to WIN.  

 

There will be one winner from each tier in every division each session.  High Tier (Skill levels 6-9), Middle Tier (Skill levels 4-5) and Low Tier (Skill levels 1-3).  

 

What do you get for earning this award??  All winners receive a patch and certificate for the session they win and all will be invited to next year's MVP Tournament, held in the summer.  Winners at the tournament receive a trip to Las Vegas on the Party Plane!!
